EMD # 540 "When God Wins, We Win"

Recently, a good friend wrote me and shared how she struggled with God over some issues in her life, but God finally won. These words resonated with me, for we all have "stuff" we'd like to change in our favor.

One of the life-long challenges of a Follower of Christ is to align our will with His. Sometimes we don't know what He wants but often we do. Most of His directions are recorded for us in scripture but we have to study and find them. Our tendency is to see ourselves isolated, to think that God's will is diametrically opposed to ours.

One of the most difficult lessons to learn, as a Believer, is that God never works against us, always for us. As we go through trials and problems it can seem like He is unmoved, even oblivious to our situation. At times we pray and sense no response. We wonder how will it be resolved?

The fact is God has already won. When Jesus said from the cross "it is finished", it meant that we who accept Him are winners for life, no matter our circumstances.

Stay soft and flexible for our Lord is shaping us for a retirement that's out of this world.

Jn. 10: 10 NKJV The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
